Adding Images to Your Posts

The Occult Corner allows members to include images directly in forum posts. This can be useful for sharing tarot spreads, altar setups, ritual tools, artwork, sigils, book references, journal photographs, and other material relevant to a discussion.

How to upload an image

  1. Create a new topic or reply to an existing discussion.
  2. Write your post normally.
  3. Scroll to the Attach Files area below the post editor.
  4. Select the image you want to upload from your device.
  5. Finish and submit your post.

Supported image attachments will automatically appear as an image inside your published post. You do not need to insert special code or manually create an image link.

One image per post

The forum currently supports one uploaded image per post. If you would like to share several photographs, simply add the additional images in separate replies to the same topic.

For example, if you are documenting a ritual, tarot spread, altar, or other working with several photographs, you can use your first post for the main description and image, then add the remaining photographs as replies.

Images in Private Messages

Images can also be shared privately through The Occult Corner's private messaging system.

If you want to share an image with a specific member rather than posting it publicly, open a private conversation with that member and use the image or attachment option in the message window.

Private-message images are not displayed in the public forum. However, private messages remain subject to the Community Rules and should not be treated as guaranteed end-to-end encrypted communications.

Do not use private messages to send prohibited material, harass other members, or share sensitive information that requires high-security communications.

Before uploading

Please make sure the image is appropriate for the discussion and that you have the right to share it.

Remember that photographs can reveal more information than you intended. Before posting photographs of altars, ritual spaces, homes, documents, screenshots, or personal belongings, check them for names, addresses, faces, reflections, location information, account information, or anything else you would prefer to keep private.

Images remain subject to The Occult Corner Community Rules.

A note about image-heavy posts

If you are documenting a working, tarot spread, or other practice, a little context goes a long way. Tell readers what they're looking at rather than posting an unexplained photograph whenever practical.

If you encounter a problem uploading or displaying an image, contact @Vitriol or a Warden.

Hey this is kinda unrelated, but was reminded of limitations after reading the one upload per post rule here. Is there a character limit on posts as well? On other forums, you usually can only post so many words/characters and if you try to go over the limit, it blocks the post. I wonder this because if im going to making something like a guide which tends to be on the length side, I want to know how much room I've got before i start writing it up

@verdo as far as I know there is no limits

on post characters. The reason about only 1 image per post is not really because of a rule, it is about plugins lol. I didn’t pay for the premium feature of the plugin where multiple images are permitted. so feel free to post as many characters as you wish if there is a limit let me know and I will see if we get a plugin or what the issue is.
