Vikson mostly mages ask them to feed themselves on sunlight, moonlight or negative energies around them.
These are suggestions. If they require our direct attention, this will become a chore, especially over time. And some like to control their servitors with more of an iron fist than others. What it does is really the indicator.
I came back to Hawaii after three years and my servitors here, operative on their own, were doing fine. They still are and are more than willing to take direction. It really can depend on their creation and the ability to manage them.
Vikson Damon Brand's Magickal Servitors
Not a bad book. There are a few I could recommend, but they aren't necessary for doing this. I didn't use most of them at first by any means. I hadn't read any books on them (as I recall) when I created these in Hawaii. Just general guide lines.
Full disclosure, I just started working on a book about using them for stuff less than a week ago.
Brand and Taylor...Ellwood? have some good books about them. General instructions are plentiful, since it's a low bar activity.
My take is using them on a...much...larger scale. I didn't decide to write about it until after this thread. Been doing and using them for 5+ years.
Several ways to do this and it will depend on your tasks and perceived longevity of the entity. The natural sources feeding is due to it being available without needing an outcome. Outcome feedings can work and reinforce the abilities of the entity, but may not result in higher quality outcomes if the entity isn't being fed through a secondary source - like the natural source methods.
Previously, I would only create servitors that I could show how to do tasks. Refinement would come from experience, right? Well, how often do I need to attract "True Love"? Or a job I could retire with? Secondary sources become important.
It is always a give-and-take in this area.
