@Vitriol @ReyCuervo I want to touch on politics a bit from a non-specific POV. Please let me know if I need to delete this, but I think I represent a serious contingent of magicians - those who have ability and may consider political workings.
No names here. TODAY, there is an election here in my country. I'm known to work on...larger scale things than local group workings. It makes sense that I may apply this knowledge towards larger things.
And yet I've done nothing but dissolve larger workings i come across, OLD or NEW, in equal measure , on both sides of the spectrum. Why?
Because I don't think a small minority with resources should rule a majority, nor should the majority completely drown out the minority. And I take this seriously. Do I have an opinion in today's election? Yes, both suck, neither represent me, neither have over the years, and they could...drift away...and it wouldn't matter to me.
And this is how you know I believe in the majority/minority aspects. Could I influence things? Sure, wouldn't take much in this case or the past few, when you look at it. Are there more important things going on in the world right now, magically? Yes. Thankfully, I'm not a one-and-done, have patience, and will adjust as needed, instead of simply getting apathetic because my 2 minute candle spell didn't result in rainbows, free popcorn, and world peace.
The point of this is several fold. One is to show maturity in both the magical and political process. Another is to show that when action is needed, it is done. A third would be handling setbacks and roadblocks with intelligent and analytical perspectives, not emotional perspective, like an adult child would.
My instagram and YT are full of campaigns. My Campaign Planner book just got some good news in that Travis McHenry authorized the use of his pictures with credit to himself and the publishers. A new version of that will be coming out. Doesn't change the work, the presentation, the direction for doing similar things for your own.
But tonight and throughout the process, I've simply been undoing and unraveling workings I come across. The will of ONE, Me, should not triumph or enslave the others on this level.
Now, I was criticised earlier by a spirit I trust for not exerting myself more, but not to simply exert my vision upon others. Just for not using the momentum to imprint my own Will/Desire in an area in currents that are similar. A noted and accepted criticism, but without knowing what I should've exerted...
