No spirits talk to me. I get (usually short, powerful and repetitive) messages in my head, but that's it.
Sure, it's a lot better than nothing, but I'm still envious of practitioners like you.

Sorry Al I’ve been quite busy with work and haven’t been on here much.

I wouldn’t call it speaking as in an actual voice like a physical voice. My communication with spirits usually happens through thoughts or ideas with words that weren’t exactly mine or words that I wouldn’t use. It has taken me a long time to get my clairs on and I still practice all the time.

Thanks again, just so much. I’ve been a struggling Magician for more than half a century, and I get pissed off when others state that the spirits talk to them, because spiritual entities only talk at/to me. They give me pithy messages – sometimes, every ten minutes until I obey.
Your elucidation really helped me. I don’t feel so denied, and I can rest a little easier.

I usually keep notes of all my spirit interactions including but not limited to spell ingredients and ritual words/new rituals given to me. I guess I could call it a personal grimoire. Granted sometimes to get the full instruction down it takes 3-5 sessions lol.
